MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT & CEO
South-East Regional Health Authority is one of the largest health authorities in Atlantic Canada with more than 3,000 employees, volunteers and physicians. The Health Authority consists of two hospitals, community health centres, Community Mental Health and Public Health, Addiction Services and Extra-Mural Program all located within southeastern New Brunswick.
Our largest facility, The Moncton Hospital, provides trauma and critical care services and is a major referral centre for New Brunswick, northern Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The Authority provides a full range of ambulatory, primary health care, prevention and wellness services throughout the region.
The Authority is recognized at the regional, provincial and national level for best practices and innovation in the delivery of health and health care services and is fully accredited by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.
Fully accredited teaching programs are offered by the Authority in various health disciplines such as: Dietetic Internship; Northumberland Centre for Medical Education and Research; Critical Care Nursing; School of Radiologic Technology; Pharmacy Residency; and others. The wellbeing of staff is of utmost importance, and this was reinforced when Maclean`s magazine named the Authority as one of Canada`s top 100 employers in 2004 and 2005.
New Brunswick is Canada`s only officially bilingual province, and Metro Moncton offers a wide range of services in both official languages. If you would like to live in a growing, progressive city and work in a first-class health care delivery system, South-East Regional Health Authority would be proud to have you. Please contact us for additional information.
Yours truly,
Donald J. Peters, P.Eng President and Chief Executive Officer
