Day Surgery Program

Sackville Memorial Hospital's Day Surgery Program averages around 1,000 patient visits each year. The program serves patients from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Surgical procedures performed in Day Surgery include laparoscopy gallbladders, tubal ligations, endometrial ablations, orthopedic procedures (including shoulder acromioplasy and arthroscopy procedures), hernia repairs, breast biopsies and plastic surgery.

To access the Day Surgery area, follow the white dots marked on the floor to the left of the admission desk. Patients are admitted through central admission near the main entrance to the hospital.

Mission
Our multidisciplinary team will provide quality, cost-effective patient care during the perioperative period for patients requiring surgical interventions.
