Physiotherapy Services

The Sackville Memorial Hospital Physiotherapy department is responsible for assessing, treating and educating patients of all ages (both inpatients and outpatients) who have function-limiting conditions. These include musculoskeletal, neurological and cardio respiratory disorders.

The department is located on the main floor of the hospital at the front of the building and consists of two physiotherapists, one physiotherapy assistant and one secretary. The department receives approximately 3,000 outpatient visits annually while providing inpatient care five days a week.

Patients require a referral from their physician in order to receive service from the department.

Mission
The mission of the Physiotherapy service is to achieve excellence in assessment, treatment intervention and education for our clients with functional impairment due to musculoskeletal and neuro-developmental disorders.
