Services

Sackville Memorial Hospital's Medical Imaging department is responsible for general radiography and electrodiagnostics (ECG) for referred patients and emergency services. The department consists of two radiology rooms and is located on the main floor of the hospital, near the main entrance. A mobile radiology unit is also available and used to X-ray patients who are too ill to come to the Medical Imaging department. Patients should register at the front desk.

The images are sent electronically to The Moncton Hospital where they are viewed by a team of radiologists. A report is sent back to Sackville Memorial Hospital and distributed to the patient's family physician.

Approximately 8,000 radiographic procedures and 3,400 electrodiagnostic procedures are performed at Sackville Memorial Hospital each year.

Mission
To learn and work as a team in promoting a strong relationship between all areas and ensuring delivery of high quality diagnostic images.
