Operating Room Bookings Operating Room (OR) Bookings at The Moncton Hospital is responsible for scheduling pre-admission testing and patient surgeries, and entering patient information into the operating room computer system, which generates a surgical waitlist. The OR Bookings office is located on the main floor behind the admitting office, off the main hospital lobby. OR Bookings receives a weekly operative list from the surgeons' offices. A letter is sent out to the patients on this list to notify them of their surgical date and any pre-operative blood work or X-rays that may be required. OR Bookings clerks enter approximately 400 patients onto the surgery waitlist each month and schedule approximately 10,500 patients for surgery each year. |
