As part of South-East Regional Health Authority, Community Mental Health Services strives to promote positive mental health. In addition, clients receive access to a wide range of bilingual mental health services. These include: evaluation and assessment through consultations, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, education, and support.
The multidisciplinary team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, residents in psychology, nurses, social workers, human service counsellors and administrative assistants.
Southeast Community Mental Health Services receives more than 1,200 referrals each year. All services offered by Community Mental Health Services are covered by New Brunswick Medicare.
Referrals to the Community Mental Health Services can come through the client, the client’s family, hospitals, family physicians, or community agencies.
Community Mental Health Services joined the health authorities across the province on November 28, 2005. South-East Regional Health Authority’s branch of Community Mental Health is located at 81 Albert Street, in Moncton, New Brunswick.
To promote positive mental health and provide access to a range of mental health services, including prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and support for citizens of the Westmorland and Albert counties.
