About Katherine Wright
After graduating from The Moncton Hospital School of Nursing in 1948, Katherine Wright worked devotedly at The Moncton Hospital for 40 years before she retired in 1988. During that time, she served as the director of the School of Nursing until it closed in 1974, and as an administrator until 1988. In 1999, she lost her battle with breast cancer.

South-East Regional Health Authority sought to recognize the tremendous dedication Katherine Wright provided to the health and well-being of many Moncton residents. In 1995, the Katherine Wright Family Wellness Centre opened in her honour.
