Clinics

Arthritis Clinic


Description: The Arthritis Clinic is provided by a multidisciplinary team that includes a physician, registered nurse and physiotherapist.

Adult clients are seen at the Clinic according to the severity of their condition and receive an assessment. Clients are asked to complete the Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) Score which includes such questions as: Are you able to dress yourself, shampoo your hair and stand up from a straight chair?

Following the assessment, the client’s joints are examined and specific physiotherapy and treatment may be recommended. The physician may order blood tests, X-rays, or other medical intervention.

Location: The clinic is located in the Physiotherapy department at Albert County Health and Wellness Centre.

Access: Physician referral is required.
